I spent 6 hours on today's sketch. I wanted to get the right tones and edges and even now when I look at it I think there's something I should add. I guess I've always been this way. That's why whenever I say I'm done with a sketch I don't go back to it - it's the perfectionist my dad created in me that's causing this heartache.

I've not been able to share my works in any community now for three days and I don't know if it's a general problem or if it's just me. Yesterday I shared part of this sketch, if you should check my blog you would see it. I decided to make a sketch of Darth Maul because of the drama behind his character and face. Even though most people don't consider the first 3 episodes of the Star Wars to be binding or interesting I must say that in some ways it sheds more light for rookies on certain unclear areas. The one thing I always found fascinating about this character was his two edge light saber...

This sketch was made with colours; red, 2 shades of brown and ash from a MasterArt set of coloured pencils,
And
2, 3, 6 and 10B Bianyo pencils.

Thank you for this wonderful work, I can imagine that it took you so much time and effort. Sometimes we have a feeling that the work is never finished, there is always something that we want to improve. Nice detailed expression of face and his slothes :)
