About the destination. Begin, continue, stop and go again

in #art5 years ago

When I paint with colors, I'm not sure until the very end that it works out well. I usually even think that it’s lousy. The color spots seem inexpressive, the lines are crooked, the strokes and the shape are swollen and sloppy. And when the drawing is finished, you need to give a look to rest. And make sure it turned out great.
And there are still people who paint murals, huge like forest. All that they have is a plan divided into squares. They generally see only one spot of paint at a time. And the best thing they can do is keep painting. Sooner or later each section will be painted, each line drawn, his handwork will appear on the wall, and this will be breathtaking.

When you don’t know what will happen next, when doubts gnaw at you, when inside a tangle of non-poisonous but cold snakes fumbles, when you don’t feel the ground under your feet - do it anyway.

Let it be nonsense, let it go badly in color with everything you did before. Sometimes they do not want to, and sometimes it does not work - take it and do it.
You can talk and discuss for a long time, but it does not make sense if we are talking about getting real experience. No real experience is replaced by words, even the most beautiful. No experience will arise from what we will discuss, what is stopping us, and how to proceed. Take it and try it. Take it and do it. Left - come back. Gave up - start again. Begin, continue, stop and go again.

Build your floor under your feet with your own hands, lay out this endless mosaic of colored sand - so that from her fragile beauty, always close to completion, the heart trembled, and so that there was something to fly to infinity when the wind of eternity blows.

Hi @extractum-lunae

Here's the post

You can find the contest here

Many thanks for the support! I'm glad to try!)

This is great advice for almost any field, and you have shown it in such a beautiful manner. This was a wonderful read, and you are an amazing painter.

When I write, even I think the initial product is beyond lousy. Having been in that place more than once, I now have a very effective system arranged. I take three hours in a day, in fifteen minute periods, to write blindly, without giving the screen a single thought (quite difficult to do), and then revisit the work in a day or two, having written others in the interim. It helps me come back to the previous with fresh eyes. And usually, it isn't all that bad ;)

Wow, so cool. I love how you took the colors and painting to illustrate life.
