We paid our respects to Prodigy of Mobb Deep by writing MASSIVE graffiti and painting his portrait

I am the member of ZMK Crew (Zone of Mad Kids) that was founded back in 2004. We where only 14 year old back then and had no roll models for graffiti writing in our small town Jagodina in central Serbia, because the graffiti scene was not that big in Serbia, and was mostly located in the capital city of Belgrade. We used dial-up internet to search for examples on the web. Those were vary interesting times for me and I remember them with great nostalgia. Nowadays only one of our member is still active and still writing all around the Europe.

Listening to old school hip-hop was our daily routine. Every time we got together we played music and on the playlist the common name was Mobb Deep. Everyone who listens to old school rap knows the importance of Mobb Deep to the culture, and the news of Prodigy leaving us hit the internet hard.

We decided to pay our respects the the hip-hop legend in the way we know best - by writing a massive piece and painting his portrait. Check it out:

We did the letters during the day, but in order to paint the portrait perfect we brought the projector and had to wait for sun to set, so we did it during the night.
