Hello Steemians! I'm drawingwithflare.

I'm back and today I came back to crafts and made a miniature surfboard.
![20180508_151928.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmQvTP4hNyRMz3TAKCkCUT7HVAY6S9vvyzirhjC2YEw2rB/20180508_151928.jpg)
In this craft, I used 100cw and 280cw sandpaper, glue and superglue, utility knife, vice, pencil and eraser, black and white paint, and ofcourse the popsicle sticks.
![20180508_152420.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZv3v2NGRf9Ve9dHC5cArkvewzJj8Evm6gRKRAE6F15fQ/20180508_152420.jpg)
So first I outlined and planned the look of the board by drawing it in a piece of paper.
![20180508_152747.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmfY2Sco9HXf6BJcCCe5oKXYu8nbVUwVoLdXpXdCH9g28Z/20180508_152747.jpg)
Then I cut them out.
![20180508_153719.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVKVBdfbTERNwpvw7z2Uyrix77uYCaqqgpE5AjzpJ9dS7/20180508_153719.jpg)
Then for the body, I used 6 popsicle sticks (2x3) but instead of just putting all with superglue I cut one of the pieces in half.
![PSX_20180509_002716.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmQXjZppqWCQ6WFTwN4vu1z9fkvMdePG8DMofLHh3Spuou/PSX_20180509_002716.jpg)
And then, using some superglue, I glued the first three together, then I glued the rest on it but in an alternate way for extra support.
![20180508_161058.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmccSthg7qpNfwBg5J43NcxLRajPgVK6S9f5qNoRh7u2aM/20180508_161058.jpg)
And after that, I traced the templates I created earlier in the popsicle and the body.

So I was planning on adding 3-4 fins on the board. Sadly, the smaller fins broke in half. All of them broke in half. Except for one that's why I decided to only add one fin.

Using the utility knife and the 100 grit sandpaper, I cut the body of the board out. It took a while and I also accidentally poked my hand with the knife but I did it.
![20180508_174635.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmfY1iFUjjfiugF4oTzj1DYn1SiSghsoi7MK32QYoCotuk/20180508_174635.jpg)
Then, using the 100 grit sandpaper, I flattened out the top and bottom surface of the body.
![PSX_20180509_001154.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZ49jDkdZYkAqBdcN3KA195UZvTM3t5c3zTNYcfwbepu8/PSX_20180509_001154.jpg)
And then, I smoothed the sides of the board so it wouldn't be so sharp.
![PSX_20180509_002853.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmUZnsuL4zFtE6PtEmeKYULHXUBL3xsf6tRbWD1TVWQeVY/PSX_20180509_002853.jpg)
Then I also sanded the edges of the fin and the body.
![20180508_180633.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPeREFLoGi5xtnUKGW6hrb46bUzVfZHq4kDCrsB6kbQXt/20180508_180633.jpg)
And for more support, I etched out a hole on the body to fit the fin in place.
![20180508_181519.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmZwmqRktvo289j1GezkZXbUbMy6bd7xTzHnY2mEWf4HUt/20180508_181519.jpg)
Then using normal glue, I glued the piece so it wouldn't move much when I add the superglue. It worked and I got it straight even after adding supergluing it.
![20180508_193828.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmd1RTyErE47RSPs3ieFC5nHy6TSqzAfpsGdcMGyDBe2QU/20180508_193828.jpg)
Then I painted it white for base coating..
![PSX_20180509_005124.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://steemitimages.com/DQmZPxEEzokzQCyCoQmoPpgLbYb22HK8Aw8NWbbbjRYZ3E6/PSX_20180509_005124.jpg)
And using a sponge, I tapped it with paint and slowly add the black for a cool effect of course.

And that's it done! It took about 5-6 hours of me working (paint drying included) and I think it was worth it. My hand hurts and my neck also hurts but it turned out good.
And I was gonna see if it floats but I realized that the paint I used is waterbased. And I don't want to repaint it.
Thank you so much! My name has been Flare and Bye!!!
