New Menu, Taxi & Poker Flyers - My Latest Designs *STEEM-BOUNTY*
Hi Steemians, I would like your feedback on some of my latest designs for Seastar Inn Negril, Jamaica. I do social/influence marketing and web design for the hotel, which is ranked #1 in Negril by TripAdvisor. Lately these designs have been getting a great response but there's always room for improvement.
*Although I did the editing, I can't take full credit; the photographer did an amazing job!
The Taxi-flyer
The concept is simple; any driver or tour provider that hands this card to a tourist is safe and reliable. These flyers are available at the front desk and are only given to trusted drivers in Negril. The driver also receives a 10% commission if you present this flyer to your server, everyone wins!
Epic New Menu
Bigger and better photos, more details and great prices. Possibly the most well-rounded menu in Negril, featuring items from hearty steaks, 1lb burgers and scrumptious pastas to local dishes like jerk chicken and steamed fish.
These are just screenshots, but I will #steepshot the printed menu later on. Seastar's full menu is available to download here in .pdf from the website, SeastarInn.com.
Poker Night Invitation Cards
Poker nights at Seastar are every Thursday and Sunday, sometimes Tuesdays during the tourist season. Dinner and non-alcoholic drinks are on the house.
These cards are cut in two sized, one card sized and another slightly smaller than a business card. Anything smaller may be a pain to read.

I would like you to add chicken roast in your menu. I did not see beer in your list. you did not sell beer.
Chicken roast sounds good but similar to Jamaican Jerk Chucken. Our national beer is Red Stripe it's on the full menu (link in the post). Thanks @mmunited!
Thinking it looks pretty good. I’m terribly uncreative design wise so I can’t really point out what to change if anything. I just know that the pics of the food look appetizing sbd it was easy to read and understand. Win all around.

Great designs dude!! I would suggest the following small changes though.
For the taxi flyer:
Make the logo bigger and add pricing of the two specials. Will probably get the customers more excited. If you have any specials will be a good idea to feature to increase the chances of getting the customer. Also give them a reason to bring in the flyer, some incentive for the customer, like free drink, free starters, etc.
The prices were actually present when the flyer was first designed, the owner of the hotel suggested removing them; the prices are in USD but the Jamaican dollar is always changing. Since the produce is purchased in JMD that leads to price changes usually every couple months or so.
Guests like the concept of supporting a local driver and see it as a form of giving back and possibly creating a bond. Their incentive is charitable. There are so many hotels/restaurants here and most return guests have a favorite driver/taxi they support. Plus happy-hour is 4-6pm, 2 for 1 drinks and appetizers etc.
We are #1 on TripAdvisor of hundreds of hotels in Negril but we can't give away our shirts 😉

Aaaah makes perfect sense.
Maybe you should add that to the flyer then. Bring the flyer in and Support the driver, instead of just the drivers id. But i suppose he or she would tell them anyway.
I understand where you coming from, im in marketing so was just giving you some ideas as to what works!! But your words were better!!
100% agree you cant give away your shirts. But you can work with what you already do and just highlight it to the customer. Remember they only know what you tell them!

They're great designs! Only suggestions is maybe using a more attractive font for the food menu, but everything else is good.

Thanks @sfcq240788, I assume you mean the wraps, it's on 'Tortillas' so I can definitely see the similarities.
I would suggest swapping the front on the dinner menu; have the names more scripted and the descriptions more block like. Also the eye finds things in threes to be appealling; try to use three fonts or bold, standard and italic of the same font and also three different sizes of the fonts. Sans-serif fonts are easier on the eyes and less formal and keep the font to 16pt or less or it starts to look like its crowded or taking up too much space on the page. Find a balance between negative space and content nd add some angles and props to the food photos the next time you take them. Natural light and shadow done correctly will enhance the pics of the food. Also have the logo of the resort os the watermark behind the menu with subtle, off white colors or just the outline if the logo. Make sure the guest is seeing the brand as much as possible whether they realize it or not! You have a good base here and with a little work, the next will be great! Thanks for sharing your work @donald.porter and I hope I have given you some ideas. If I travel to Negril, I wilm definitely check out the Seastar Inn!
Thanks @stwbll, I love the branding idea and will try your font tips; makes total sense. I also have to keep in consideration, the guests who frequent our hotel are mature or bit on the older side.
Definitely stop by if your in Jamaica, our Saturday night live reggae show is the best in the west!
