The eternal feeling of being a minnow on Steemit

Every time I'm going to create a post I feel an enormous pressure for what I'm going to say, should I write a huge paragraph to engage people? do I need to say all the details of my artwork? what else can I do for being recognized by the Steemit community?

I prefer to keep it simple, even if it costs to be a minnow for a while; in fact I would like this see this blog like kind of portfolio for my art: Where my art is recognized by the community and you can see my artwork at the same time so, you know; kill two birds with one stone.

The girl in the painting is Joyce Swenson This was made in Photoshop with a wacom device by me.

Nice to meet you. I am a friend from today. I wish you all the best and healthy. Your friend lucky7777

Nice work, you make me curious about more of your works, I'll check you out;)

Thanks! I'm Glad you liked it . :D

I feel like I have the same issue sort of. I think when I write on my posts it detracts from the actual piece and I also like for my art to speak for itself, but people seem to like it...the words. I guess it's more engaging. They also seem to like when you show the process of coming up with each piece. Which I also don't like because I have to constantly stop to document what I'm doing and that interrupts my flow. It just isn't conducive for my output so I don't do it that often (in fact I think I've only done it once), but I'm trying to do both of these things more often in the future...let them eat cake...gotta give the people what they want...or something.

Haha! Absolutely agree but I think there are a lot of people who do not have too much time to read very long posts about art (I'm one of them). It is a good market. I hope some Steem apps like Steepshot take advantage of this, Instagram would disappear like in two weeks.

I'm in a sort of in between place. I enjoy writing and doing art. So it feels more natural for me to paint and document a few of the steps to show the process. Plus, I look at it as a homage to those on YouTube and elsewhere that went through the trouble of teaching me by showing their process. When I look at art on Steemit I love when there's some context given to the how or why of the piece. The text usually gives me some insight into the artist...even if that text is a goofy rambling.

True, documenting the process can help artists who do not have much success in other platforms such as Patreon, gumroad or youtube. Doing it here can not only help you to monetize your work but also exposure yourself and your skills without forcing to pay for it.
