I Thought I Should Start Posting Some Of My Photoshop Work

I've done a lot of Photoshop images and thought I should start posting some of them on Steemit. Most of my work is based on "chopping." For those who do not know what chopping is, its when you extract subjects from multiple images, modify them, and then bring them all together into a new and completely different image that doesn't even come close to any of the originals. I have a ton of fun doing these and love to create scenes that don't necessarily make any sense. A normal response to many of my images is, "What in the hell is going on here?"

For Facebook.jpg
I made this image for a website. I extracted the pocket watch from another image. I wanted to convey the urgency of running out of time and an attempt to do everything possible to keep time from moving forward.

Home page from 2007.jpg
This crazy picture was for a webpage I had that was loaded with tutorials showing how to make 3D objects for the virtual world, Second Life. I created a storyline about a carpenter that had been buried alive with his tools. Both of the guys you see in the image are the same guy. The buried dead guy in the ground, and his ghost climbing up out of the ground. That was actually my avatar in Second Life for awhile.

I created this one for someone's Facebook cover photo. Let me know if you want an image like this for your Facebook. Or even better, don't use Facebook and wait for Synereo to come out. Then we can watch Facebook crumble because of its decentralized replacement.

Quantitative-Easing.jpg
This represents quantitative easing. Its been raining dollars for a very long time, but only on Wallstreet. We finally see those dollars when they are worth way less.

troll party.jpg
I made this to invite people to troll the Federal Reserve's Facebook page.

I hope you enjoyed these images. That's all I'm uploading for now. I'll upload some more soon. And I think I'll even do some new ones to specifically post them on Steemit.

Have a wonderful evening (or morning)!

Thank you phillipjwatt!

Solid work brotha. I really like the rain money one u described as representing quantitative easing. U should call it "some just get wet" after the Bob Marley quote, "some people feel the rain. Others just get wet". Good work man, keep posting your art

Thank you jack.styles!

Thank you rootingrobert!

i dig these
defiantly deserves a follow :)

Thank you chippa!

Thanks for sharing! I think my favorite one is the pocket watch; I like how you added a small faded image of it at the bottom. I've been really wanting to learn how to use Photoshop, but it takes so much time to learn, time that I don't have unfortunately. Do you take picture requests? Of course, I would give you credit if I use them in my posts.

Thank you omega-not! Yeah, little details like reflections and shadows can really help make things pop. It can take awhile to learn Photoshop, but theres a pretty good approach to take to help with that. My very first graphics program way back was Corel Draw 4. It had a 2-inch thick manual and I went from cover to cover, page by page. The first and last time I ever took that approach. No way will I ever do that again. The best approach is to just get Photoshop and when you want to do something, just look for online tutorials on what you want to do. There are some great books out there too, where they show you an image before and after and show you only the steps to create that or those effects. Very few people use the full power of Photoshop anyway, so you don't need to know it inside and out. Only what you need at the moment. I've thought about doing some tutorials on Steemit, but for the effort that takes I want to have my followers list beefed up first. It would be a shame to apply that much effort just to have it quickly disappear into a black hole. I could help you out with some pics for your posts, depending on what you wanted. Some of them can take a bit of time to do so I wouldn't want to do so many that I don't have time for my own. But yeah, hit me up if you want.

That's a good idea! I have a friend who suggested another program to help me edit my photos. I have to look back at his comment to see what it was called again and look into it too.

Well, it seems I've just become an actor of a sort in most of my pictures, so I don't really need to edit the pictures I am in. I really only need a signature picture that I can tag at the end of all of my posts. In some of my posts, I have a plain omega greek letter. If I may request a picture (⊙﹏⊙✿) would you be able to create a picture of an omega greek letter that's bright like blazing fire, surrounded by fire? ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄ Lol, I'm sort of embarrassed making a strange request. ⊂゚U┬────┬~

Please let me know what you can do. I really appreciate your input!

I think you are talking about the program called Paint.Net

Thanks Joe! Yes, that's the one. I have to download it before I forget to.

Ohhhh, I'm so sorry, I didn't see this comment! I would be happy to do this for you, if you still need it.

btw, I have some more pics that I'm going to post in the next few minutes. ;-)
