OVER THE GARDEN WALL: a beautiful story with a dark tone

Over the Warden Wall, known in Latin America as Mas alla del Jardin is an original series of cartoon networks created by the young writer of graphic novels Patrick McHale. The series is based on a short film made by McHale himself titled Tome of the Unknown, which was produced as part of the short films for developing programs at Cartoon Networt Studios. The program was broadcast in the United States during the week of July 7 to 17 and in Latin America it premiered in April 2016 in movie format.

• ARGUMENT

  'Over the Garden Wall' tells the story of Wirt and Greg, two brothers who get lost in a totally strange forest, inhabited by creatures and mysterious animals, and must find their way home. In this forest, which they call "The Unknown", they will witness strange and wonderful things. With the help of a wise and elderly Lumberjack, in addition to an irritating tile called Beatriz, the two brothers will have to find the Woman of the Unknown, Adelaide, to end the curse that keeps them there and be able to return safely home, all this while being stalked by a cruel creature known as the beast.

Despite what may seem the series has managed to adapt the dark tone of Dante's novel, making it can be seen both by children and adults, giving away to the audience a story full of mystery and symbolism. that to emphasize is that this program never tells you things directly, by this I mean that the series does not explain things like what is the forest? or because the forest is magical? among other things.

In spite of how confusing and somber this series can be, over the garden wall is a unique experience that teaches us the love between the relationship of brothers of two brothers and that shows us a fantastic and incredible journey.
