DECOMPOSITION #3: GREAT AGAIN!
Good day Steemians & welcome to the third installment of the Decomposition Series! #3 is called Great Again! and is 69" x 34" chalk & sealer on wood.
Lately, It seems the U.S. flag, or some version thereof, is seen in many new and different places. From truck wraps, to flip-flops, from 'the flag man' at football games, to folk-art on pallets, flags are everywhere. Well, I believe that all of that energy and excitement has given me the liberty and inspiration to make my own iteration of the flag.
Once comitted to the design(and without a projector), and wanting to make it true to the real thing as I could ('cause I am a little OCD and like to try to get things just ever so!), I found this project quickly became a meditation in geometry, fractions, multiplication, and a healthy dose of jazz at: http://www.wbgo.org/#stream/0 to help get it all to make sense.
I hope you like it!
Have a great post. I think your post is a great post.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
That image would make a great background for a web page. If you took a high resolution photo, you might be able to sell it on a microstock site.
I appreciate the comment. I will look into that!
