RE: 50 SBD reward for Steemit Comic Trials winner and comic culture introspection!

Similar goings on with Marvel being just plain better art than DC and as a child with only lunch money saved to spend on comics had no time for a boring looking comic, so Marvel "won" despite not having a Batman. Batman came later, and maybe for the best because Batman is something to be appreciated. But yeah, independent comics are where it's at. I think those giants of Marvel leaving to create Image helped push that idea too whenever that happened. Your pencils make me swoon too. It's a weird thing when young reading comics and looking up to the artists and then realizing the best art was found in the books no one was buying. A lot of times this is true with movies and music too. Random 6am ramblings.

Agreed wholeheartedly on Batman @cryptlectibles. Especially the darker aspects of Batman. The animated series was a great way for me to learn more about the characters. I loved Clayface, and of course that's where we met Harley Quinn. I really started fell in to Batman when I discovered Frank Miller's Dark Knight and Year One stuff. Capullo and Synder's recent run, though, is one of the most brilliant, important contributions to comics in 50 years IMO. HAHA! My pencils make you swoon, too? Isn't that amazing that they're all digital on the iPad Pro!?
