Curious Pauline
Chinese characters: fertility, nurturing, power, and earth

Beef is generally taboo in Chinese culture, and not recommended in Chinese medicine, since it’s thought to disrupt the body's internal balance. This comes from a Chinese perspective of respect for animal life and vegetarianism.

In honor of Pauline Wayne, who supplied President Taft with milk from 1910-1913.

As I do with most my paintings, Pauline is now also a Thank You card.
