BEASTLY TALES - SEERSUCKER
Welcome to Beastly Tales. Each has a message, a moral. All are meant to have an element of humour. Naturally, any names included do not depict real folk but are included as part of the joke.

BEASTLY TALES
SEERSUCKER
Seersucker, as everyone knows,
Is a fashion fabric that comes and goes,
A lightweight thin striped cotton cloth,
Which is resilient even against the moth.
It has a puckered surface to it,
The whole effect makes it a hit.
In my younger days I had a couple of suits,
In summer they were comfortable, yes real beauts,
Nowadays you don’t see it very much,
Fashion dictates a warmer clothes’ clutch.
Fickle fashion has a lot to answer,
That fickle fashion, that dancer prancer!
Edgar Ealesdorp asked for seersucker,
At a tailor’s in Spain. The owner’s mouth did pucker.
“It not easy for me, English, what seersucker?”
“But I know, if a sucker you do see,”
“You take advantage for a fee,”
“Yes a fee from cheating him”
“Do not look so proper and prim.”
Now that the “sucker” subject is raised,
We know that a person easily duped is so appraised.
Someone who might purchase a “fireplace’ fridge”,
Or even to purchase Brooklyn Bridge!
