Freedom of Expression and Art

With the purge that recently took place on youtube, twitter and other social media platforms; paints a very disturbing picture for all content creators and artists alike. I never thought when I was growing up as a kid would I thought this would happen. We find ourselves all in this together, as this effects us all. To watch so many creators be removed from other platforms for simply speaking opinions and questioning things in our reality, is beyond frightening. To see many moving to these alternative sites like steemit, and to have a place where we can gather and not be censored is a wonderful and amazing thing. At this point we have one direction, and that is to protect all content creators. Small and big alike, the one thing that will send chills down the censors spines is us joining together.

An artists who can't speak their mind, is an artists with dead or redundant material. New styles in all forms of art, journalism and performance will be struck down in an instance. We can not step on anyone's freedom in less we plan to step on our own. Tolerance is key and even if we disagree on certain points, removing content that is not harmful surely is not the answer. Together we are strong, alone we are weak. Now is the time to set apart differences, to be a leader and show others why these freedoms of expression should never be stepped on.
