Morning on the streets of Indonesia - Tape Art Tutorial
It's been a long time since I was out here because I was traveling out of town where I live, and now I'm back. On this occasion I will try to share my ilutrasi on life on the street that I often see in the morning. Still as usual I use the Tape Art technique using the basic material of brown packing tape to make this artwork.
Tools and materials that I use are still the same, you can see in some of my posts before. I still use acrylic plastic as a substitute for canvas, brown packing tape as a substitute for paint, and a cutter knife as a brush replacement medium which is used to shape / create images. And I attach one by one photo of the process documentation. Be on the look and enjoy.
Progress shot 1 : I started off by forming the bicycle parts first.
Progress shot 2 : Overall drawings for some of the basic stages of peroses.
Progress shot 3 : Object head. Yes, actually in this artwork I position myself as a parent who was sitting in a corner of a stall looking at and pay attention to the busyness of people who are passing by on the streets.
Progress shot 4 : Overall image after several times given layer of packing tape.
Progress shot 5 : Here I try to explain to people, where this two-person object is actually the focal point in this work. Habits of men would like to read newspapers, though not all. This is an activity that I often notice when I go out in the morning to just buy a cup of coffee or just a jog.
Progress shot 6 : I again gave a layer of masking tape.
Progress shot 7 : And this is the end result.
And need to know I'm here using only one color tape only brown. But why some color variants can appear? Like older chocolates and younger ones? It's all because of the light game and the level of layer thickness inside this artwork itself. I do it on a table in which I give the light as a light, so that the picture I use.
I hope this post can benefit you and attract you to try it. Thank you for visiting my blog, do not hesitate to comment. See you again.
