My Own Quill Pen
I decided to make my own pen for some special upcoming ink works. There aren't many art supply locations around here and what is cooler than making your own? I have never made one before and have to say,
"They Don't Make 'Em Like They Used To!"
I can see why some folks may prefer to just buy a fountain pen or a set of nibs. However, there is a special satisfaction to having made this tool on my own. I will try and get some of the images posted very soon. Now,
Let's see what she can do!

Nice to challenge yourself and create your own tools - what made you think of doing this? be good to see some of the ink work hehe
So True! I have always enjoyed pen and ink even though dipping it a million times is tedious. I collected some feathers back in Texas and brought them here to Sweden with me. I think it was on the flight over I thought it would be cool to make each one for a specific color. I don't think they are big enough... but we can test that!
Once I got here they had a goose feather that was huge and I watched a couple of artists that inspired me to MAKE IT HAPPEN! I didn't want to wait for stores to open and have to pay either... so Necessity was the Mother of this Invention! I have two stipple arts I started and worked many hours on... but I scrapped them to start over now. I will try to scan them both later and get them posted.
Hope You had a great Holiday
This New Year is gonna ROCK!
