'Shark in the Darkness'
The newest addition to the wildlife white charcoal series. This weathered shark is looking for a new home, and there's no fixed price on this one. Best (serious) offer gets the framed and matted original. Contact if interested.
Materials: General's White & Black Charcoal on Strathmore 400 Series Artagain Black Paper
Process:
I chose to use black paper for this drawing. The dark values are drawn using black charcoal, and the light values are drawn using white charcoal.
Step 1 - Lightly draw the highlights and white areas.
Step 2 - Draw in the dark values, and blend with light areas.
Step 3 - Cover the entire background with a stick of black charcoal.
Step 4 - Final details, highlights, blend where necessary with smudging tool.
