The last week I made a drawing where I wanted to reflect a cactus that has grown together with the relationship that I have, which he gave me in our first month together. 

Step 1: make a heart as symmetrical as possible, you can use the rule and create vertical and horizontal axis to achieve it, always try to make strokes not so strong so that when you have to erase does not hurt the paper.

Step 2: Make an outline of the space where the main part of the drawing would go and the idea of some details, like the flowers, remember that the heart of step 1 is the guide but not necessarily the whole drawing must be within your frame, it is Say some details can excel.

 Step 3: In this step, carefully highlight all the outer lines, as well as finish shaping the drawing with details of the stem and other sections of the body and flowers.

Step 4: Here we highlight the heart and carefully erase the lines inferior to the cactus and the flowers. This gives the sensation that the cactus is born from the heart externalizing itself. In this way we add the inner lines of the cactus leaving a central part where we will add details in this case type mandalas.

Step 5: We finish decorating our drawing with mandalas in all the central sectors of the cactus as well as adding lines to the leaves of the flowers to give the sensation of depth. You can also add some triangles that simulate thorns in the cactus surroundings.

Step 6: Of a color of your preference, in this case red, with the pencil sharpener we take part of graphite, that is to say dust of color, with this we will make a faint expression of the background in this case the heart. You can spread it with your finger or with a cotton ball.

Step 7: We highlight the area of the heart (the frame) with the color red and then with a marker of the same tone.

Step 8: We emphasize the outer area of cactus with a green marker, respecting the lines of the flowers.

Step 9: To do this step define the color you want for the flowers, in this case I decided yellow for the leaves and red for the center, very carefully highlight the outside of the leaves and the center trying to leave blank , since the lines of the central area are very close to each other.

Step 10: You delete all the traces that have been out of place and add your signature.

 My cactus called Pepito has given me a little boy today. 

It is important to note that through the years the details in the relationships should not be lost, at the beginning every little detail is so beautiful and important, then as the year goes by those simple but beautiful things are lost, promoting this earlier writing, make this drawing with a very important meaning in my relationship in order to give it to the love of my life.
