However, why is Michelangelo so important? Sin embargo, ¿por qué es tan importante Miguel Ángel? En primera, este artista es autor de algunas de las piezas con mayor valor estético del arte –por ejemplo: la Pietà, el David y por supuesto sus frescos en la Capilla Sixtina. Además, el italiano tuvo los mejores mecenas de la historia Occidental y el apoyo de la Iglesia Católica, lo cual significaba un gran honor para la época.

Análisis / Analysis

In this fresco, God is represented in the way the Catholic Church proposes: a bearded man. In the scene, it extends to have contact with Adam, who rests on the earth in expectation of the divine spark.

En este fresco, Dios es representado de la forma en que la Iglesia Católica lo propone: un hombre mayor barbado. En las escena, se extiende para tener contacto con Adán, quien reposa sobre la tierra en espera de la chispa divina.

It is noteworthy that between God and Adam a mirror arises because of their positions, which responds to the needs of balance and symmetry to balance the visual weight of the image. However, it also symbolizes the philosophical notion that: God created man in His own image and likeness.

To add drama to the scene, Michelangelo contrasts both figures through their elements, that is to say, while Adam, the Son of the Earth, rests on it - in a triangular position - God confronts him etherically in the sky. In the piece, The Creator is held by a group of angels and to his left is a female figure: the future Eve. Needless to say, the climax of the work is the attempt, both of the Father and of Adam, to meet.

Para agregar dramatismo a la escena, Miguel Ángel contrasta ambas figuras a través de sus elementos, es decir, mientras Adán, El Hijo de la Tierra, descansa sobre ésta –con una posición triangular–, Dios lo confronta etérico en el cielo. En la pieza, El Creador es sostenido por un grupo de ángeles y a su izquierda se halla una figura femenina: la futura Eva. Sobra decir que el punto clímax de la obra es el intento, tanto de El Padre como de Adán, por encontrarse.
