Seaside paintings
The Western Cape province coasts in South Africa are known for their quaint and colorful fishing boats and fishermen on the beaches. They are also popular subject for artists, including yours truly.
Alas, I haven't been able to visit the area in person for a long time, but to me, painting is to some extent a kind of virtual travel. So here are two places where I have let my brush travel:
Fishing boat, Western Cape. Oil on board, 20 x 25 cm
Fisherman. Oil on board, 18 x 13 cm
Such small paintings are fun to do, don't take long and you learn a great deal in the process.
