BEASTLY TALES
A DAY AT THE BEACH
Walking along the beach, having a chatter,
Conversation turned to faecal matter.
The waves did boom, depositing a brown foam on the beach,
“Oh, no! They’re pumping sewerage into yonder river reach”
And so they were, great clouds of brown,
Who authorized such action? What Council clown?
Walking along the once pristine beach,
Now putrid and muddied, we’re lost for speech!
People ruining our Planet again,
What’s needed is much cleansing rain!
They walked along, towards the cliff.
Browning sand, between toes, quite stiff!
I know it does sound rather absurd,
But my friend found a petrified turd!
It has been in that cliff face, that’s where it has hid.
Well it seemed to be such, it truly did!
That turd produced in the usual caper,
But, now, devoid of any sanitary paper.
They’d lost the desire to romp and frolic in those waves.
Perhaps the sand would be clean in those cliff caves?
But no, the brown foam still carried by waves.
Little Johnny building sand castles.
Brown and white rendered parcels.
“Daddy, what is that brown foamy stuff?”
“It smells rather bad, feels somewhat rough!”
Sammy the surfer ran up the beach,
He seemed to have lost the power of speech.
There are brown things floating out there!
You should swim out and look, if you do dare!
Someone complained to the council, they responded, grinning wide.
“Don’t worry about it, we only release sewerage on the ebbing tide!”
So funny, but sadly so true!!!
