Owls represent many things, but in this particular image the owl represents transformation. The word therianthrope relates to transformative creatures like werewolves and shape-shifters.
In many UFO abduction cases, owls are over-represented as part of the experience. In particular, many UFO abduction cases often menntion unnaturally large owls in some form or another.
Some speculate that supernatural or interstellar beings inhabit the form of night-creatures, such as owls, to blend into the world of people. Others speculate that the human mind, when faced with an alien abduction experience, reinterprets the creatures it sees into something that it can more easily register.
Regardless, owls have a mysterious, eerie essence.
