Oh, my, that's amazing! Great thing you also know this wall painting! Have you already seen it inEsztergom or just heard about it? I haven't been there yet. This wall painting is in a very bad state :(
Unfortunately I haven't had the privilege to visit Hungary. I first came across this during one of my case studies in historic art back in 2012. How did you come across this?
Yes ma'am it is in a very bad stage now and has already gone through decades of corrosion. I hope at least now it will be preserved neatly for the future generations .
There is a book, titled "The secret of the lions of Ister-Gam", written by Ferenc Badiny-Jós, who was a sumerologist. The Hungarian town, Esztergom=IsterGam, where Ister=the river Danube, and goddess Ishtar(Akkad-Babylon) or Dingir Innanna (Sumer)
Lions never lived in the Carpathian basin, but lived in Mesopotamia. Now, put the infos together :)))
