This is very interesting, rather dark... but very well done.

I would love to hear about how you did this? I think others might as well, in order to learn about stop motion animation.

Thank you for sharing it. Voted and Re-Steemed. :D

@creatr

Thank you for your comment, interest and appreciation! I just posted a comment below (to artwatch) in which I tried to explain the process... I will upload some photos of the papercuts, some of them are really small and it's funny to see them in reality:)

That is pretty trippy! I love it... Looks like it takes a long time...

I'm glad you liked it! It took me 4 months but I didn't devote all my time to it (and had to go to work meanwhile)...

How stunning!!! This animation has not received half as much love as it should for your efforts. I will leave you a small tip after this comment as my vote really isn't as much as you deserve for this. - this must of taken sometime to complete, is it your voice in the video? You did such a good job. The subject matter both beautiful and dark. I am going to resteem and follow. Thank you so much ashka for all your hard work, your story is raw and full of emotions. Top notch.

Thank you so much! :) It felt really good to read your words, I admit it took a lot of effort, patience and time to complete this animation. It was a freelance project, the voice is by the author of the poem - Denise Ryan and it was her project/idea. I received a rough storyboard, had to do drawings for the different scenes and then animate them. I used a scanner for the animation (it's much faster if you have a good camera and a tripod, but I don't;). Made cut-outs and then moved them, scan, move again, scan and so forth. For some bits I put a transparent plastic sheet on top of the drawings and painted with watercolors, pastels and ink on the plastic sheet. Paint, wait for it to dry, scan, erase, paint, wait, scan and so forth. It took me about 4 months to complete, but I was doing all sorts of things in the meantime (going to the beach with my kid and then going to work). Thank you so much for your kind words and for your appreciation! It means a lot to me!

Sounds like a true labour of love. I can really see it too. I am so happy to have you on Steemit and will do my best to resteem when I see quality like this come out of your feed. 10 outta 10
