Looking really good ,respect.

Consider it was done in 10 minutes, that is not bad at all. Thanks for sharing.

Actually - this one was more than 10 minutes - I gave myself an hour to complete 3 briefs - a woman's face https://steemit.com/art/@artwatch/woman-s-face-speedpainting-15min

a landscape (this one)

and an insect.

The woman's face only took 15 min and then this took a lot longer- I don't do landscape stuff so I kept messing with it and screwing it up... Just worked it too much to the point I just had to blur out a bunch of the worst that I was having troubles with. It took a lot of the painting time up...this one infact demonstrates my failings as a landscape artist...speedwise anyways. but that is why we do the practice right. Get a little less la-suck.

Nicely done. Was it done on Photoshop or with real paint?

Photoshop but I do traditional speed drawings - for example this was a 2 hour sit creating 4 seperate designs for this tattoo concept. https://steemit.com/steemgig/@artwatch/do-you-like-rockets-tattoo-request-q-and-a-with-intothewild

If you are into traditional I encourage you to also consider joining in on the speedpaint briefs it can help your traditional too to do these types of challenges within a certain time frame. As you can see my traditional is a lot better then the speed painting that is why am challenging myself to be quicker at what I am not already.

I used to draw when I was younger, but I have made the transition to 3D modeling. Even though it's much more technical, the same concept apply. A typical drawing would take me 5-10 hours, while a 3D modeling can take me 2-3 weeks.

Very wonderful work @halfscreen - if this is what you do then I definitely encourage you to join in on a speedpaint or two down the line. I find when I am doing 3d modeling, I often find it helpful to draw out a few quick sketches of what I want the over all scene to achieve in the 3d build. It could help you do storyboard work to go along with the 3D work or help you describe to clients what you are just about to build for them. Loose fast sketches for concept/idea/model creation can really help the creative process - don't give up the traditional keep doodling and post it I would love to see what you do.

Thanks. I will keep that in mind on my next project. : )

Yeah, this one is awesome.

Pretty dark and gloomy, I like that, keep it up :)
