"Happy"
Louis creates these images by drilling by hand into perspex sheets. Each drilled indent is drilled to different depths and widths to create an image. The perspex sheets are the inked up and the surface cleaned so just the drilled indents hold the ink, then put through an etching press. This is an image of our beloved Desmond Tutu, a man that is always happy, has a wonderful sense of humour, speaks his mind and is well respected

This image was created in the same way, but adding a positive and negative image by inking just the surface to create the negative image. The image of the Dalai Lama was created shortly after he was refused entry to South Africa to attend Desmond Tutus birthday by our government.
