Portraits in ballpoint
Hello dear Steemians!
I was absent here and I apoligize for it, was too busy in the studio filming tutorials and making larger paintings. To relax from the oil paint and to entertain myself I draw with pen in sketchbooks (surprise-surprise ;) Here is a couple of my most recent sketches:
Recently I started to draw with a new pen - this is Fisher Space pen refill inside of Zebra F-701 body. Still not sure about it, there are some annoying issues but generally it's a legit ballpoint experience.
Hope guys you dig it!
These sketches are amazing! They both look great. You have captured their faces in a way that they look real. I especially like her expression. She looks kind and very fragile but strong at the same moment. You did such a great job with her eyes, brows and lips. All of it looks stunning.
He on the other side looks like an explorer. He has a rigid expression in his face but I am sure he is a kind person. He looks like he had plenty of life experiences to share and I am sure that he visited many places already :)
Well done!! Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend!

Amazing portraits, Arthur <3 I love 'em :D Still amazes me how you can do these with the biro!!!
Kinda makes me wanna try doing them, too aaaaaaaaaaah <3 <3 <3
Very fun, Arthur! I learn from your work every time, as I stumble along trying to paint a decent portrait. In this instance, the lighter tone on top of the orbicular? muscle above the eyelid gives it just the tiny swelling muscularity it has. Also, somehow, you seem always to stay tuned to a drama or story in the expression; this gives the work focus. I think I must learn to identify such a story and keep it in mind as I go. Anyway, thanks. Most helpful.
