Art On The Walls Of My House
¡Greetings, dear friends!
I was absent for a time for some reasons, but now I'm back and I want to talk about the art that lies on the walls of my house, to be more specific: Painting. Some of these pieces were painted by my cousin @erickrivera and others are just simple replicas.
PAINTINGS 🎨
1. Starry Night
To start this list I will talk about the following painting, originally made by the great Vincent Van Gogh. The landscape of this painting reflects the view from the window of the sanatorium room where the famous painter entered. The technique he applied were short and soft strokes.
Year: It was painted in 1889.
Medium: Oil on canvas.
Location: Museum of Modern Art, New York City.
This replica was painted by my cousin @erickrivera in 2015. It was an assignment by my mom. Here is the step by step of how this painting was painted: https://steemit.com/art/@erickrivera/como-

2. Sunset with Don Quijote and Sancho Panza
This painting was also an assignment by my mother, the theme was a sunset with Don Quijote and Sancho Panza characters belonging to the novel written by Miguel de Cervantes called Don Quijote de la Mancha. What better artistic representation than the characters of the most outstanding work of Spanish literature.
This painting was also painted by @erickrivera in 2012. Below is the link of his post: https://steemit.com/art/@erickrivera/mi-atardecer-con-don-quijote-y-sancho-panza
3. The Persistence of Memory
This work was created by the famous painter Salvador Dalí, and is said to be a representation of his dreams. This painting was the one that brought him to fame, his paranoid method and his surrealist style can be clearly appreciated. What draws the attention of his paintings are the strange objects that appear which make you dig into your imagination to find out what the hell is that.
Year: It was painted in 1931.
Medium: Oil on canvas.
Location: Museum of Modern Art, New York City.
Replica printed of the original portrait, currently hanging in the living room of my house.
4. Portrait Of Dora Maar
Arriving almost at the end of this list we have this picture made by the great Pablo Picasso. He inspired by one of his girlfriends named Dora Maar, was his muse and main model for several of his portraits. You can also clearly see the cubist style that he used.
Replica printed of the original portrait, currently hanging in the living room of my house.
5. Portrait of Lady Gaga
And last but not least, we have this picture made by me. A representation of Lady Gaga in the good Pop Art style, I painted it in 2012. She is one of my favorite artists.
It is currently hanging in my room above my bed, a way to see it every day.
Nothing else to say, I hope you liked my post, write your comments.
