The Most Highest Resolution Photo In The Earth
"As high as the resolution, the portrait quality of the full frame cameras will outstrip the type of crop,"
That's the experts says about 'megapixel' competition on the device. Of course the resolution remains a crucial factor in the digital photography art. More bigger the image, more detail it appears. Are you curious about the highest resolution photograph in the world?
Say thanks to an Italian photographer named Filippo Blengini. In an ambitious project called in2white, he successfully created the largest panoramic photo that ever made by human. The object itself is the topmost peak in Europe, the Mont Blanc mountain. How high the resolution? "Only" 365-gigapixel or 365,000-megapixels. Yes, "Only" 365-gigapixel or 365,000-megapixels.
The taking pictures process is not easy. Assisted by Alessandra Bacchilega, Blengini first compiled a team of photographers who share the same passion. Then they climbed up to a height of 3,500 meters and had to withstand the cold reaching -10 degrees Celsius. For finished in2white project, the team utilizes Canon 70D DSLR cameras, Canon EF 400mm f / 2.8 II lens, Canon Extender 2X III plus mounting robotics. They shot 70,000 times and spent 35 hours.
The result is a gigantic epic portrait. If printed at 300dpi, the portrait can close the football field.
"The admirable elegance of the 'white giant' is too magnificent to describe in words or pictures. You must be there to feel it. But make it now, you can taste and explore Mont Blanc with the largest panoramic photo on Earth, "
said Filippo Blengini and friends.
The panoramic portrait works by Filippo Blengini beat photos of BT Tower London at 320-gigapixel, but still behind the moon image by NASA that has been taken from Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. But NASA moon image is already outside the Earth.
