Starting the Creative Flow Again — Exploring Creative Coin Tribe — Seems so Much has Changed!
It has been a couple of months since I last did much of anything here... and so much has changed, in just such a short time.
People (including many creative souls!) talk a lot about getting the "winter blues," but I often find that I get the summer blahs.
I have theorized that we get programmed as kids to expect mid-June through August to be "vacation time" *(School holidays and such) and after 10-12 years of schooling it gets programmed into our systems — at least somewhere in the background — that summers are for not doing very much, at all.
At least, I have found that to hold true, for myself.

Discovering Creative Coin: Now THAT is Cool!
As I said, it seems like a lot has changed around here, in the past couple of months. During my last check-in, I was briefly exploring the (then) new #palnet community, and that was close to the only thing going.
Now there are suddenly all sorts of tribes that have sprung up! Wow! That just happened...
The one I am pretty excited about is #creativecoin because it seems to be trying to take up the slack after the broader Steemit infrastructure seemed to somewhat fail on the creative end of the spectrum.
There was a time when I had sincerely hoped to make this place a substantial part of my creative social media and marketing for my creative expressions, but that just seemed to quietly implode like a sagging party balloon.

Now I am feeling hopeful again... hopeful that this small island within the Steem infrastructure might be genuinely supportive of art and creativity. And I really like the fact... from the bits and pieces I have read... that it sounds like there will be active HUMAN curation to keep the spam and tag abuse to a minimum.
I know one of the principles of the whole blockchain gig is that we're all supposed to have this freedom, but it seems that when you give all this freedom, the system abusers come in and run roughshod over the legitimate users, and you end up with uncontrolled chaos, not freedom.
But hey, that's just my own editorial comment!

Preparation for Change
Meanwhile, changes happened in my world, and then I fell into the land of summer blahs.
I used to sell the majority of my work through a small store in town that closed at the end of June, leaving me with "online only." Whereas I have been trying to adapt to that, it definitely left a hole... and thankfully, I have now found a new local outlet! So that's a positive.
Yesterday, I finally got around to re-integrating and re-organizing the pieces I had had out on consignment (yes, it has been sitting in my workspace for almost six weeks!) and now I am ready to move forward with also improving my online artistic "presence."
I think a lot of artists and creatives struggle with both "office work" and "self-marketing." Whereas I recognize both of these as essential parts of building an art business, I tend to procrastinate like crazy!
I love spirals...
This latest episode has been no exception!
Meanwhile, I also got all my online shops updated and current... and I am ready to start "seriously" marketing the Patreon page I created a couple of months ago, with an eye towards this next "evolutionary step" in the creative process.
I am still struggling a bit with the procrastination "demon," but hopefully I will be able to keep it at bay.
Speaking of "bay," I wonder if @steembay is still an active thing, here? Have to check that out! Someone also encouraged me to have a look at @homesteaderscoop, even though what I have is more "art" than grown products... so might do that, as well.
Well, just "getting my feet wet" here again... more to follow, hopefully soon.
Have a great weekend, and thanks for reading!

This post is 100% powered up!
Your stones look very nice. Maybe a cat themed one might be nice. MEOW!!
We'll see how it goes with that @cottenlion. I'm mostly into doing geometric and fractal-like patterns, but maybe I'll try something new.
nice work there and it seems you will be a good addition to the Creative Coin family

Thank you! I like that the group seems quite dedicated to actually keeping the content creative and not just another catch-all for all comers.
Well, @homesteaderscoop is also art - they do include art, and it's expanding slowly so it'd be great if you got your product there too. Can't hurt!
I love the creativecoin tag too - and it's just going to get better, I think. Have you tried just solely using their front end?
Yes, I am actually responding to these comments through the Creative Coin front end... although I do most of my posting through SteemPeak which seems to do a good job of associating the right tags with different pieces of content.
I will probably give @homesteaderscoop a try... increasingly exploring places top sell things.
🌺 🌺 very nice i love painting on stone
Thank you! I think it's a pretty fun medium to explore.
And good to know you've found a store to stock your stuff.
As for summer blahs - don't even. If it doesn't warm up here properly soon I'll go mad. Mind you, sun is out today and we've been working outside so I do have a t shirt on only. Oh, and pants of course.
Ask me again in early Spring, and I'll probably be singing a different song about "summer blahs!"

I'm really happy about the creative coin token to encourage creative steemians! I agree with you when you wrote "when you give all this freedom, the system abusers come in and run roughshod over the legitimate users, and you end up with uncontrolled chaos, not freedom" and looking around me now, I think the tribes could be the right answer for freedom without uncontrolled chaos ^_^ Happy creative time!

It's nice to see you posting again, @alchemystones :D I am glad to hear that you are finding new hope in the tribe initiatives on Steemit !
I love your stones, the colours and patterns are always so enchanting and beautiful and that 7 chakra set is just gorgeous <3
You might want to also use #neoxian as a tag as they are now actively curating for their tribe tokens, as well :)
