Tribute to Dolores O'Riordan by Cranberries
I've been a follower of hard rock bands since 2010, almost close to kissing goodbye to the juvenescence.
I started listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin covers and Iron Maiden covers and absolutely fell in love with this genre of music.
I got introduced to the Irish band Cranberries by one of my friends in college and that's when I started to listen to it. Their numbers like "Linger" or "Dream" and "Zombie" to top all of them have been consistently embracing the double whammies of hard rock music.
Dolores Mary Eileen O'Riordan was an Irish musician and singer-songwriter. She led the rock band the Cranberries for 13 years before the band took a break starting in 2003, reuniting in 2009
"Zombie" is a protest song by Irish rock band The Cranberries, written about the 1993 IRA bombing in Warrington, and in memory of two young victims, Johnathan Ball and Tim Parry.
And the artwork I've done depicts the whole song and the wrath beneath.
The song begins like
"Another head hangs lowly
Child is slowly taken
And the violence, caused such silence
Who are we mistaken?"
Followed by numerous bawls questioning " whats in you head?"
This artwork is a tribute to Dolores and "Zombie"-one of my personal favorites from cranberries
This is the rough sketch which was done before beginning the artwork.
