Going Home | Digital Painting by AJ Brockman
The love of a dog and the bond you can create is sometimes so profound it is difficult to put into words. Today, I highlight one of my pieces that again demonstrates that bond between human and canine. I kept having this reoccurring thought in my mind's eye of a young boy playing in the fields with his best friend. A time and place where getting dirty and exploring are the norm. These are the experiences we remember as "the good old days" without the responsibilities of adulthood. I can almost hear a dinner bell in the background calling them home for supper.
I also find an uncanny similarity to the final scene in The Gladiator. While be it one of my favorites, this correlation was completely subconscious. A different timeframe, different lighting, no dog, but undoubtedly similar in mood and meaning. Take a look below

Artist have a wide range of imaginative and creative skills which is not in common man. Keep it up.
Thank you, really appreciate that amazing complement. Appreciate your support my friend!
It's really worth reading and the video actually has the same mood as in the digital painting. I remember the instrumental piece: "The Homecoming." Even without lyrics, some words of encouragement and the sweet flavor of victory come to mind. It's an artist's work to trigger emotions and you do it well. Nice work!

“Dogs love their friends and bite their enemies, quite unlike people, who are incapable of pure love and always have to mix love and hate.” —Sigmund Freud
Interesting, never really thought of it that way. Thank you for your comment!
This painting is absolutely stunning - almost fairytale like and brings back swarms of nostalgic childhood memories of playing in fields and backwoods, climbing things and being one with the elements. Such carefree days, and I think you really captured that innocent childhood essence here. It's lovely beyond words. I've also never seen a digital painting done in this style before - to the point where it doesn't feel digital. Yet I don't think of it in a physical sense either - it just is art, tactile and filled with emotion, just as art should be.
So amazing - thanks for brining us along the journey- its great connecting with other artists here of steemit and I can't wait to see and feel more!
Thank you! Yes, that is the exact vision I was hoping to convey. This is probably the best comment so far, elegantly written and a complete connection with the artwork. I have given you a follow and look forward to interacting together in the future. All the best to you my friend!

Wonderful picture i must say :)
Hello @abrockman it is so friend those little animals are becoming an important part for us, the connection that we can have is impressive, they fill us with so much sincere affection, we just have to give them attention and a lot of love and they will love us all their lives. It is impressive how they move their little tail when we get tired of work or a gesture of affection make us forget how tired we can be, going out with them is a great experience.
I have two pinchert dogs Brigitte and Kim love them, they are very flirtatious they love the pictures hahaha, here I share your photography with you. Successful friend ...
