The Making of Tha Dark Knight Blind for the Boys’ Room

When my two boys Along @kymio and Angah @harythilmy decided to redecorate their room, we were so excited. We even allowed them to choose their own theme and color scheme.

Of all the colors, they had chosen black, white and grey for a change.

“It’s going to be dark like a cave...” Said their mother, disagreed, but did not oppose the idea.

“Yes, dark like BATMAN’s hide out in Gotham City...” I added on...

“Good idea... how about the logo of the Dark Knight on the black Roman Blind?” Suggested @kymio...

“ Papa can draw for us... “ answering @harythilmy’s question on how and who was going to make it happen...

This is how it looked like after it was done.

How it waa done?

I browsed the internet to get the correct logo and drew it on the black plastic lining fabric using white pencil, manually. I had to draw it bigger to suite the back ground size..

Before painting it, I had to do some masking using masking tape in order to make sure the sharp edges.

Along and her sister was trying to help after realizing how easy it was to apply the paint.

I used silver color water based paint which was less messy and easier to apply.

The paint has got to be thicker with less water used to avoid it from sipping through to the other side.

You guys should agree, if I say, the best part was to remove the masking tape when the paint was all dried up. The satisfaction was unexplainable....

With a little bit of touching up, everything was considered done! Mission accomplished.

The two boy were so proud to tell their friends whenever being asked, “where dis you bought that kind of blind...?”

Anyone wished to have the sort of decor in their home can always sit down and discuss...😬
