I was stationed at Ft. Carson in the late 80's, I was an MP, I personally witnessed a soldier die on a PT run. He collapsed at the end of a two mile run next to a troop med clinic. The medics rushed out and rendered first aid, he was then transported less than two miles to the post hospital where he was pronounced dead. This post almost mirrors my own...strange.
