Using the Arise wallet on Arch-based Linux distributions
Installing the Arise desktop wallet on my flavor of Arch (Antergos) is the same process as the Bitshares desktop client.
So how do I install aWallet?
- Download the Linux version of the wallet
- Open a terminal and navigate to where you downloaded the
.deb
file.- In my case
cd ~/Downloads
- In my case
- Install debtap:
sudo pacman -S debtap
- Initialize debtap for it's first ever run:
sudo debtap -u
- Run debtap:
sudo debtap -U awallet-core[...].deb
- Install the package:
sudo pacman -U awallet-core[...].pkg.tar.xz
You may now launch aWallet!
How can I update my wallet later?
Simple! When a new update becomes available, download the new .deb
file from the arisecoin.com. After that (and your initial install), you only need to repeat the last two steps using the new aWallet version.
Pretty easy right?
