Architectural project - Beach bungalow
Today I share with you one of the projects that I liked the most, since it was a challenge for us. I am currently in the 7th semester and this project is done in the 3rd. It was the design of a beach bungalow for 8 people, in only 60 square meters. A very small space for that number of people...
First, we had to choose where we would design this bungalow, we implanted it in Tulum (Quintana Roo, Mexico), directly to the beautiful Caribbean Sea, without a doubt a heavenly place and with a phenomenal view for the project.
As a generating concept we focus on marine currents, emphasizing in housing, a fluid circulation, making spaces more dynamic. Since it would be in a Latin American context, extremely hot, we take advantage of the concept to give freshness to the bungalow.
One of the criteria was that the construction could not exceed 60 square meters, this being the biggest problem... which we solved by designing only two rooms, the main one with a double bed, the secondary one with a bunk bed and adding a sofa -bed. It also had a kitchen with a sliding stop, bathroom and separate sinks, external showers and a terrace overlooking the sea. (The furniture we used was the one that gave us the answer to our main problem, which was to integrate the 8 people)
A project with a peculiar complexity and a bit difficult but studying the problem is completed, correcting all the requirements requested in classes... and with this I want to share with you that: As an architecture student, the nights without sleep, the days in those that you can not share as a family because you are working on projects, tiredness... All these things become nothing when you see the fruits of your effort and dedication.
Venezuela needs people who love the country, who fight for it, who strive to be better citizens, progress is a matter of will. I love what I do, that's why I'm still here, fighting for mine for someday, thanks to my career to help mine, those who saw me grow, those who always supported me, those who accompanied me on endless nights of late nights...
