Interesting buildings in Central Europe! #1
This is a series of interesting objects from Central Europe. I have visited most of them and I wanted to describe them to you, maybe some of you will be tempted to visit them, maybe even something more! Because these are mostly public facilities. The first one is...
NARODOWE FORUM MUZYKI
It is a modern facility-complex of concert halls located in Wrocław in Poland. Designed by Kuryłowicz & Associates. In 2005. the company won the competition in 2009, construction started, which ended in 2015.
The building has a usable area of 35,300m2 and a cubage of 257,000m3. 9 floors, including 6 above-ground. The facility has 4 concert halls, including the main one for 1800 seats, the rest 250-450, as well as rehearsal rooms, conference and office room, exhibition part.
The building was inspired by the shape of the instrument, but mainly it concerned the finishing, that is from materials of wooden elements from prodema and elements of gold sheet.
Interestingly, the concept of the main hall was established long before the contest was settled. Designed by Artec from New York. Room characteristics can be changed from needs through adjustable acoustic systems and suspended ceilings. The interior may sound like a gothic temple and also like an intimate club.
The project assumes maximum mute of the most important spaces, which is why the building was built in the "box in box" system. Each of the concert halls is a separate structure, self-embedded and isolated from the ground. The entrance is preceded by a "vestibule of silence", means a kind of sound lock. The walls were placed on sleepers using dilatation.
Interior designed to be sublime. The black-and-white foyer refers to the gala dress and suit.

I'm sorry for the trouble. I changed from 'polish' to 'poland'. In this tag, it was about showing the place where the object is located.
