ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY: CAPE TOWN WATERFRONT
The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is a really special place to me. It's one of those iconic Capetonian places that you just have to visit if you are here on a trip, and if you live here, I would say a visit every few weeks is mandatory.
Besides being a hot spot for shopping and eating out, the VnA is also really beautiful. I love coming here, early evening for a quick (in my opinion - not my husband's 😜) pop in to H&M, and then a coffee or smoothie by the water. There are tourists shuffling around, looking slightly lost. Seagulls swoop at every speck of potential food, waitstaff scramble to the multiple restaurants. The sun sets over the still water, and the salty smell of the ocean permeates the air.
I took this panoramic photo on my iPhone and I think it came out pretty well!

ah thanks so much! love that term, foxy
Beautiful place, beautiful photos. Your description makes me think of Seattle. There is an iconic fish and chowder stand named Ivar's Acre of Clams where the sea gulls are the biggest winners.
Thanks for a wonderful post.
Ah man! everytime you mention something about the States, you make me wanna go more and more!
My favorite subject is to make panoramas using a smartphone. Which Iphone model are you using? I make all the photos with the iphone 5S, I really like it.
i love pano's too. This was with the 6s, but i have the 8 Plus now, and damn, it is amazing!
I also think to change, but I do not like the new models, because they are made of glass.

Beautiful shots. The pictures remind me of home. I grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Halifax is known to have the largest natural Harbour in the world. I miss the ocean so much!!
Canada looks like something out of a postcard. I would love to visit one day
