For this opportunity, I would like to share to all steemian my #architecturalphotography about the Gate of Mosque.

As we know, the gate is said to be the entrance to a particular area. Initially the gate was a Hindu building which was used as an entrance to the sacred area. But now, the gate is not only as an entrance, but as an icon of a place. Why ? because the gate is the face of a place, and of course building a gate cannot be arbitrary.

Indeed there are various types of gate models at this time. Starting from the welcome gate, minimalist house gate, school gate, to the mosque gate. Each type certainly has a gate design that varies according to the region. Very funny if we build a mosque gate in a tourist area because this is not accordance with the original concept.

On my way to Bireuen Regency, I was very interested in seeing the beauty of the Bireuen Mosque Gate beside the street of Banda Aceh-Medan, precisely in Cot Keutapang Village, Bireueun District. The beauty of this gate is clearly visible from the combination of yellow gold and carved calligraphy. This gate building seems to adopt the style of the ancient building, Europe and ancient Spanish Islam.
