In 2006, the lake Yalpug that in Izmail district of Odessa region,Ukraine, treasure hunters was found gold objects, known as "treasure Attila." The total weight of the findings was about two kilograms. According to unofficial data treasure consisted of fifty different items. It is assumed that the grave was, at least, sword and dagger, saddle and bridle a horse, a ceremonial belt. All ornaments made of gold and silver with inlays of carefully polished almandine (precious stone).

Later, in 2010, there was found a few precious items, including cover belt harness. In 2012, the 10-cm depth below ground using metal detectors had found a small gold plate, decorated with ornaments. We find the plate is very thin as foil. Rather, it was part of the seat upholstery or clothing or helmet warrior.

It is in these places in the V century held to a single road in the lower reaches of the Danube river crossing, located in the village of Orlovka. It Huns made raids on the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire.

Archaeologists claim that the found objects clearly belonged representative Hun elite, but very unlikely Attila, though, according to legend, the conqueror is buried near the Danube.

Perhaps the grave, which was near the place of occurrence was looted, for example, in Ottoman times, and perhaps even earlier. The robbers divided the booty, and one of his hidden near a lake.

For photographs specialists found that some items were made at the end of IV - the first half of the V century in a studio - or Constantinople, or in any city near the Danube.
