Other than the Demo of the 3DS SSB, I haven;t played any but playing that I know how charming it is for multiplayers. I spent much of my flfe playing single player even when my brother and cousins played against themselves.

The 3ds one is great along with the Wii U Version! Definitely a better version than the outdated Wii one! Spme people consider the Wii U/ 3DS version to be the best ones since they're the most polished ones. And believe me, both entries have a lot of care put onto each other. I just rather play Melee competitively since it's a little bit faster but that's just my opinion. Every Smash Bros game is really really good and shouldn't be put aside!

Also if you check the pictures with detail, I described what I was wearing in some pictures! I'm the tall guy who has black hair! or the one who has a grey shirt in the second (from last to first) picture! The one who's looking at the camera!
