The beginning of the Saga - Pokemon! (1996) "Catch them now!"
Good Night to all of the Steemit Community!
In this post I bring you the story of the beginning of the Saga of the 90s and a Legend that which remains firmly up to this day, as the entry of a contest conducted by @archdruid.
Pokemon (1996)
Beginnings of the Legend
The history of Pokémon videogames begins with the releases of Pocket Monsters Aka and Midori (Red and Pokémon Green) in Japan in 1996, for the Game Boy console. Due to the popularity of these 2 games, Pokémon Blue appeared a little later. The original versions of Aka (緑) and Midori have never been released outside of Japan, but Pokémon Red and Blue have been released internationally, games with Pokémon Blue enhancements, but with the characteristics of the original Aka and Midori, the sales of videojuegos until the 1 of December of 2006 had reached a quantity of 312 million copies (including the sale of the version Pikachu of the console Nintendo 64), obtaining to occupy the second place of sagas of videojuegos best-selling of Nintendo.
Tajiri's idea was always to create a video game like no other, inspired by what was one of his greatest passions as a child.
And is that Satoshi Tajiri in his childhood was a passionate collector of insects, trapped and studied wonder of the structure and peculiarities of each species. Between 1989 and 1990, long before the launch of the first Pokémon game, Tajiri designed the first sketches of what would be his masterpiece: a game based on collecting creatures, which we could use in combat against other players in a real world as virtual.
He called his creatures "pocket monsters", since the player could catch them in special balls that fit in the palm of the hand and take them everywhere in the pocket of a pair of pants or backpack. The first generation was called "Pocket Monsters", and later it was simply known as Pokémon, joining the two words.
Thus, on February 26, the first generation arrived in Japan. Pokémon Red and Green, and two years later we would see these games arrive to the rest of the world as Pokémon Red and Blue.
But in 1997, a year after the original Japanese release, the success of the game had been so great that the animated series was born, starring Ash Ketchum and his faithful pokémon, Pikachu. A year later, in 1998, an adaptation of Pokémon Red / Blue called Yellow, directly inspired by the animated series, would come out.
For the next 18 years the saga would make history with more than 50 games of all kinds and on all Nintendo platforms.
Curiosities
⚫ Did you know? Ash Ketchum is based on the creator of Pokémon, Satoshi Tajiri, who was called Ash of affection. Good way to popularize a nickname e.e
⚫ Did you know? En 2008, científicos japoneses descubrieron una proteína la cual llamaron Pikachirina en honor a Pikachu. Esta proteína acelera el envío de señales entre el ojo y el cerebro.
⚫ Did you know? In 2008, Japanese scientists discovered a protein which they called Pikachirina in honor of Pikachu. This protein accelerates the sending of signals between the eye and the brain. Let's hope they do not end up saying pika pika xD haha
⚫ Did you know? Meowth is based on Maneki Neko (fortune cat). I already expected it xD
⚫ Did you know? Rhydon was the first Pokémon designed for games.
⚫ Did you know? Most Pokémon regions are based on homologous parts of Japan or the real world. This is the case of the Kanto and Kalos region, which corresponds to the North of France.
⚫ Did you know? Charizard looks like a gigantic dragon and although it is precisely small, the reality is that its height is only 1.7 meters. More or less that of a human. Did not you expect it? e.e
⚫ Did you know? Ash despite his long journey has only 10 years. What is the secret? O.o lol, I also do not want to grow old xD
⚫ Did you know? Pikachu was not going to be the protagonist of the anime. The protagonist would be Clefairy, but due to his unmanly appearance and that Pikachu had already gained popularity, he got it
⚫ Did you know? Pikachu loves something more than Ash and what is?, Ketchup! xD. Me too, the food defeats me lol xD.
☆My Opinion☆
What do I tell you, I do not know this game and I'm making an article about it, that you do not believe me? So ... Haha it's impossible not to know, it started being an RPG videogame and now it's everywhere, TV series, clothes, card games, even people who have not played the game or seen the anime, know that it speak when you name it xD, haha I can say this game is already a Legend that will remain for many years in the future, because even today still come new anime versions and now with the arrival of POKEMON GO! I say but if you have not played the initial versions and passed as you can have the nerve to play Pokemon GO! xD.
I really enjoy making this article about Pokemon, since it is one of the games that marked my childhood and I know that of many of those who read, so I hope you enjoyed it, Happy game!

Sup Dork?!? Enjoy the Upvote!!!
Not sure about some of the facts you listed. As far as I know Bulbasaur isn't the first pokemon designed, it's just the first in Pokedex. And also, Satoshi is the japanese name of Ash and while it's true it's the same name of Pokemon's creator I'm not sure if it was his nickname.
Uhm... I am confused, I admit that I had the doubt about that, many say that it is Bulbasaur, but now I understand that Rhydon is the first designed pokemon correct?, by the way, about the nickname, many say that Ash is his nickname but I can not prove its veracity, since I have not heard from the Pokemon's creator . PS: Thanks for your contribution! :)
Yeah, I remember now that's correct.
it is already corrected! :3
