I do not post alot, I am not that creative.
But i started a Dtube Channel where i will play games on Arch Linux to see how they run.
I will be posting a video every now and then, i am pretty busy as it is, I will try not to run the game before the recording, but i have played alot of games shortly, i was a gamer before this channel. If there are problems we will see it in the video, and i will also try to fix this in the video. So it can help other Linux Gamers out there.
For people who do not know what Linux is. it is an Operating System, Like Windows or OSX is for you. Linux dominates the market on every type of device except for Consumer Desktop PCs. Most websites are hosted on Linux, also most phones, keyboards Raspberry Pi's, Drones, and most other electronics, think of your microwave or refrigerator. Practically everything that needs to be computer controlled and is not a Desktop PC runs on Linux.
Linux is Safer, More Stable, Gives you full control, and works easier than any operating system out there. Even Steam (Biggest Game Distributor) own Operating System SteamOS is Linux, And Steam Boxes (sort of PC console mix) runs on Steam OS. Also Native Linux games run better on Linux than on Windows, Even then we are such a small fraction of the gaming market, we only make up roughly 0.5% of the PC Gaming Market according to Steam's hardware survey.
Most People have never heard of Linux, or have some black screen with white letters in mind, This is not the case, it looks beautiful, works amazingly fast and is rock stable, even all your favourite apps are on Linux, Firefox, Spotify, Discord, all 1 click install away, forget installers or wizards, you have a complete app store with everything you ever need. you can even choose your Desktop Environment, yeah really, you choose how it looks, and you can change anytime. There are thousands of Distributions, like Arch, Debian and Fedora, I like Arch because it is Rolling Release, so new updates for all apps have a short testing phase and then gets pushed to my system, Yes i have like 20 updates a day, but installing them takes a few seconds without any reboot and i do them when i want.
Windows is so popular because people don't know better, it is default on 99% of all computers sold, the other 1% is OSX, and there are maybe a handful that has Linux by default, and even then it is mostly Ubuntu. (The Windows of the Linux Distros). Most people won't switch because they are used to it, and any change is bad, but when they dig a little deeper they want to switch badly, Windows is slow, Windows Securrity is a joke, everyone can get full access within minutes or seconds. there is a backdoor in the encryption. Windows has tons of bloatware, Updates can take hours, Windows is annoying with the useless notifications, all apps that always want to update and all through their own interface, because there is no centralized package manager. Windows gets slower every time you use it, even if you only browse with it, after a few months you will see serious impact on the speed, you might not notice it because you use it every day.
On top of the incomplete desktop, No Rar, No Office, no PDF Reader, no codecs, no mail, no security, no proper browser. Windows is mallware, with 50% bloatware (that you can remove but will be put back after a update) There are backdoors for everything, and they work hand in hand with anyone who wants to trade big data. Windows disk encryption is a joke because there are backdoors, great programs like paint get removed and useless apps like Xbox? or links to buy office? gets added. Everything you do is not private, storing passwords or wallets on a Windows computer is insanity, i even stay away from entering them on a Windows machine.
Windows is a tyranny and must be stopped, People buy it and they those same people are being used for their information, Free Yourself and use Linux, Even gamers can have a non dual boot setup, with more and more games being developed for Linux, Native Linux games even run better on Linux then their Windows variant on Windows. Valve the creator of Steam also is moving away from Windows, because Windows is slowly eliminating the competition, it is planning to make a more unifying experience, like if you want to read a book you need to buy it in the windows store and not from amazon, and in the future if you want to buy a game you have to buy it in their store instead of Steam, Microsoft has done this over and over again.
