UEFA Champions League - Part 60
The 2014-2015 Champions League was the 60th version of this tournament, and the 23rd season where the name of the tournament was changed from “European Cup” to “UEFA Champions League”. It was held between 1 July 2014 and 6 June 2015.
32 clubs competed in the tournament. 125 matches were played with 361 goals scored. An average of 2.89 goals per match.
Four clubs were able to qualify to the semi-finals; Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Two teams from LA LIGA Spanish Premier League.
The final game of the tournament was held in Olympiastadion, Berlin in 6 June 2015 between Barcelona and Juventus. The final score ended with a score of 3-1. It was their 5th European title for the Spanish champions Barcelona.
“Neymar”, “Cristiano Ronaldo” and “Lionel Messi” were named top goalscorer of the tournament, scoring 10 goals in the 2014-2015 UEFA Champions League.
On the other hand, “Lionel Messi” from Barcelona was named top assister of the tournament with 6 assists for each one in the 2014-2015 UEFA Champions League.
