Discovery of (hetbet) tomb near Giza pyramids
The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities announced the discovery of a recent pharaonic tomb of a priest named Hattab.
An excavation mission found the cemetery in the western part of the Giza pyramids plateau in the "Senior Officers' Cemetery in the Old State".
"The cemetery is still retaining paintings on the walls and bright colors in good condition despite the age of more than 4400 years."
Two Egyptian archaeologists were quoted as saying that the cemetery owner was a senior official in the royal platoon at the end of the fifth family era in the ancient state of Pharaonic Egypt.
Egyptian Antiquities Minister Khalid Al Anani said the cemetery had many colorful scenes. It shows scenes of fishing, birds, grazing, fruit gathering and receiving offerings, as well as scenes of industries such as papyrus, leather and smelting, slaughtering of fruit, music and dancing.
Al-Anani told reporters at the discovery site that the cemetery carries all the features of the fifth family era in terms of architectural planning and technical elements. It consists of an entrance leading to an "L" cabin with a desecration basin, where the cemetery's names and titles, including the priestess and a senior staff member,
Ali Aboudshish, the archaeologist, said that (Hetbt) is the first woman to be discovered was buried in the pyramids of the Pyramids, which means "bringing good and happiness."
He pointed out that she was the priest of( Hathor), the goddess of compassion, beauty and happiness in ancient Egypt.
The graveyard of the priest is seen sitting in front of a table of offerings that receives offerings from its children. On one wall there are two distinct scenes, where the monkeys were domesticated animals at the time.
