Akikah

Akikah is one of the things that is prescribed in the religion of Islam. The arguments which state this, among others, are the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (saws), "Every child is accused of his marriage." There is another hadeeth which states, "Son (akikahnya with 2 goats) and daughters (akikahnya) with 1 goat . The legal status of marriage is sunnah. This is in accordance with the views of the majority of scholars, such as Imam Shafi'i, Imam Ahmad and Imam Malik, based on the foregoing argument.

For a father who can afford to live this sunnah until he gets a reward. With this Shari'a, he can participate in spreading the love of the community by inviting the neighbors in the walimah akikah.

The Prophet (s) said, "A child is held up until he is married, (who) was slain on the seventh day of his birth and was named at that time." This hadith explains that the marriage will be granted if it is slaughtered on the seventh day. and Imam Ahmad argues that the marriage can be slaughtered on the seventh day, or the fourteenth day or the twenty-first day.

In akikah there are also some conditions that must be done.
