Christian view of healing yourself with natural remedies such as apricot kernels or vitamin b17

First time then I heard about apricot kernels and vitamin b17 was then watching one of the Kent Hovind’s creation worldview presentation. I was stunned to hear the information that was being presented, all of it sounded so logical and simple.

Kent Hovind is a Christian and he believes every word in it is written literally. In Bible, Genesis 1:29 god says : “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.“
In Bible there are many herbs mentioned with which you might heal yourself :

As a Christian myself I do believe that God gave us all kind of herbs, plants and roots as a medicine, today we are so used to conventional treatment with synthetic drugs that we can’t even imagine that God’s medicine has much more potent drugs. In my opinion, these multimillion corporations are trying their best to mimic God’s given natural plants such as apricot kernels or Artemisinin. Because if they would create something close or equal to vitamin b17 then they could patent it and sell it for enormous prices… they cannot patent that which is given from God to all of us… However, to mimic God’s work is not so easy and they know it, that is why they spend millions of dollars trying to do just so, and then you still do not know about potential side effects, because most of the time they only produce poisons.
