Holy Bible: An approved worker who has nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision
The apostle Paul warns us in the second epistle to Timothy that some people preach the word to teach and guide on the path of true blessedness, but others do it with the intention of creating divisions and private wars. The heretics, who are the teachers of error, are in fact outside the Church, outside the communion, like Simon the Sorcerer who tried to buy sacred things with money (Acts 8:9-24): "Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings" Hebrews 13:9.
The word of wisdom must always be preached with the intention of healing, building, pointing out the truth, promoting mercy (compassion, gentleness, kindness), forgiveness, love, and benevolence among men; otherwise sooner or later the empty words drive us into selfishness and error:
"Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who has nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly" 2 Timothy 2:14-16.
That is why in this spiritual war between the forces of light and darkness we have to keep in mind the help of the Holy Spirit, God shuns falsehood: "Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: ´The Lord knows those who are his,´ and, ´Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.´" 2 Timothy 2:19.
The love of Christ must always be present in our lives, always keeping clear his example of meekness and righteousness: "And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful." 2 Timothy 2:24
