The first light of my 2020

This is the second test for Appics. I am messing around with some word counts for future Appics curation so don't mind me just blabbing a bit. I am pretty excited for this year and know Qurator will bring some really new and cool things to the table, especially when it comes to competitions and improving returns for the Q token holders.

Other than that I am pretty grateful for the HF and what it has done. I used to love Steemit back when I joined in 2017. crazy cool content all over the show. It was all about detailed posts with enough pictures and text to keep you really interested and make it upvote worthy.

Then the bidbot era came and it all went down the drain. It got so bad that at one point I stopped looking at posts for a while. it was just too discouraging. those who have tried so hard and posted with all their hearts were just left in the dust with little to no compensation and even less exposure. So. Many. Left... It was pretty sad to see.

The new HF has been running for just over the better part of 3 months and the results speak for themselves. There are still a ton of not so good things happening on the platform, but ai must say abuse is down and quality is up. That is already one of the best steps for me that I am excited about.

Now we have to see about the hives and see how that will turn out. I know there is still a lot to be done, but we have to keep our spirits up that it will and can only get better. I think the worst is over and we all learned from our mistakes. Slowly but surely things are looking up and what better way to start a new year with some positive outlooks for Steem!
