🇬🇧 Leeds Castle 🇬🇧 I went to Leeds Castle 🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧, one of the most popular ...
... attractions in England. Leed’s Castle is in the south and NOT by the city of Leeds, just FYI. It opens at 10am every day and the line is looong, so get there early. There’s free parking, but a £26 admission fee 😭😱😭 but it was worth it, because I saw a white peacock (who immediately turned around and showed me his butt - probably because this two year old next to me was screaming her face off bc mom wouldn’t let her “touch the birdie.” Mom was like...that’s not a birdie 😂😂😂).
It took a good 15 minutes to actually walk to the castle itself (although they did have a mini train you could buy a ticket for to drive you right to the front door), as it is surrounded by beautiful gardens and lakes and grassy areas. I’m always one for a good Castle-drive-by, but there was no way to see this one from the highway, unfortunately, so #byemoney 😂❤️
Because Leeds Castle - like all popular European attractions - was under construction, visitors had to enter through the basement doors, which led to a fascinating view around the back. The rooms were all incredibly beautiful and ornately decorated, but the library was my favorite, with its green felt couch, sparkly chandelier, and brightly colored bookshelves.
I meandered my way back through the gardens, waving goodbye to the giant “birdies,” and then I drove off to the pub for some fajitas!! ❤️😻❤️
