My response to Justins open letter.
Firstly, I'm happy to see he took the whole thing in stride and accepted the softfork without issue. Obviously I got emotional about seeing my two favorite projects coming together so that I could have some faith in steemit again.
Justin Sun didnt get emotional, in fact he seemed to be totally accepting of the demands made by the witnesses. I got defensive to quick, maybe i've got a lot to learn about understanding complex situations and alot of maturing left to do. The thing is i've been following Justin for a long time, I'm a big fan of his because I like the way he built himself up alongside the tech and is inspiring to me, but my steemians this guy is treated so terribly by people online, i've seen racism and lies, communities attacking him as a person for no reason, everytime he tries to update about progress on twitter its hate, hate, hate, but tron community is trying to give love and fight fud but its short form and trolls dont care about facts and statistics and its exhausting arguing with people who know their making stuff up.
So I apologize for being so harsh, I know all the witnesses care about Steem, but I really hope they can care about tron too and really give Justin a chance to show you how great he is and how he isnt going to give up on you or sell you out. Thats not why he's doing this, he is already rich, this is about success and thats what he brings. I'll cancel my power down, not like it means much anyhow, and instead show how I feel through more reasonable means.
I hope I havent offended anyone too badly. Justins response was thoughtful and should hopefully bring everyone together, please give him a chance to prove himself to you. He has to me thats all....with TVM and BitTorrent's new clients, I see lots of great progress on everything and he just doesnt get respect from the average mainstream social platforms, people claiming to understand the tech and progress, but leverage trade and talk trash like their cool and disrespect everything that this technology actually has to offer.
Hey..I saw your first rant, I understood your emotions, I guess its okay. I appreciate how Justin handled the situation, given limited choices, but the coming dialogue will hopefully get things back into perspective. Steemians have so much too loose that has been built over time without much help from the inc., so the move was understandable, even though it was not forthcoming. Well, glad to see you're back in the light now. We can do great things together.
Thanks man. I over reacted, I'm a huge fan of what Justin is doing and has done. I know Justin has good intentions in steem, but i also know steemians have worked for years to build their credibility aswell. I hope everthing becomes copacetic with the witness town halls.
